The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada ("Commission") uses EMC Documentum's ApplicationXtender
to
store images and
EMC Documentum's ApplicationXtender Web Access (WX) to provide Internet access to the images. If your computer
does not meet the requirements listed below you will not have the ability to take advantage of the full functionallity provided by the ApplicationXtender Web access (WX).
However, documents can be viewed in the Carson City Office. There are also public computers available in both the Carson
City and Las Vegas offices to use for research. Copies of documents can
be obtained using the
copy request form
on our website or in person at the Carson
City or Las Vegas office. Please allow up to 5 business days to process your request.
- PC or laptop with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, or newer operating system
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher *
- Internet connection (DSL, cable, or T1 speed recommended)
- Administrative rights to PC or laptop when installing the following ActiveX
controls
IRCViewer (required to view, print and export documents) **
IRCResultSet (required to search text within a document) **
These components may be installed directly by clicking here.
- Additional requirements for Windows 7 users
* Mac users will have limited functionality and display issues on this website. Microsoft Windows users using browsers other than Internet Explorer may have limited access to the document images stored on this website. If the menu items on the
left do not function properly with your browser, please use the "Site Map" link
near the bottom of the menu. The Site Map page is strictly hyperlinks
and will work with any browser.
** These ActiveX components will be installed on the first attempt to view a document
or search within a document. These ActiveX components may not be supported in browsers other than Internet Explorer.
Successful access to the Commission's EFRM system depends on the user's ability
to download components and receive images at his or her workstation.
The use of a "dial-up" connection to download
components needed to access the EFRM system is not recommended.
However, once the
required components are installed using a high speed interface, a dial-up
connection may provide adequate, if also very slow, access to the system.
High speed connections are strongly recommended.
The first time a user attempts to display a document, ApplicationXtender Web Access
(WX)
will respond by attempting to install the controls required by
the browser to display the
images.
In order for the ActiveX controls to be installed, the installation must be allowed by the
browser security settings, and either the user must have administrative rights to
the PC, or if the computer is on a network the system
administrator must allow the installation. If the prompts to
install the controls do not appear, they may be blocked at the network level; your
system administrator should be contacted for help
if
this occurs.
We recommend permanently allowing pop-ups for this web site.
Please respond positively to all download prompts.
Prompts will not appear for components already installed on the user's computer.
The available downloads include:
- IRCViewer (Downloaded one time on the first access of a document)
- IRCResult (Execute an adhoc search to force a 1 time download of this control)
