Nancy L. Wenzel, Esq. was appointed as a Utilities Hearings
Officer for the Public Utilities Commission in August 2003.
Prior to coming to the Commission, Wenzel was a Senior
Deputy Attorney General for the Bureau of Consumer Protection of Nevada’s
Attorney General’s Office for five years. Wenzel also was a Deputy Attorney
General for two years in other divisions of the Attorney General’s Office.
Wenzel began her professional law career in 1995 as an
Administrative Attorney for then-commissioner Don Soderberg of the Public
Service Commission of Nevada, the predecessor agency to the PUC.
Wenzel received her undergraduate degree from California
State University, Sacramento and her juris doctorate from Gonzaga University
School of Law.
